37th Regional Coordination Forum of the Regional Housing Programme held in Podgorica

37th Regional Coordination Forum of the Regional Housing Programme was held in Podgorica on 14 March 2023 and attended by partner countries Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Croatia and host Montenegro as well as representatives of the European Commission, Development Bank of Council of Europe, OSCE, UNHCR and Technical Assistance to the Programme.

Representing Republic of Serbia, the meeting was attended by Nataša Stanisavljević, Commissioner for Refugees and Migration, and Mina Jeremić, Head of Group for Communication and Cooperation with International Organizations.

“Republic of Serbia, through the Regional Housing Programme, has provided housing for 6,884 refugee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Croatia. This year housing is expected to be provided in Aranđelovac, Vrnjačka Banja, Ovča, Novi Sad, Pančevo, Zrenjanin, Čačak, Vrbas and Pećinci as part of the Regional Housing Programme in the Republic of Serbia, and in this way, we will solve the housing issue for more than 500 families”, Commissioner Nataša Stanisavljević said.

During the meetings, the representatives of the leading Institutions of the Programme presented their results thus far. In addition, challenges in the implementation of project activities faced by all partner countries were discussed, although the Programme is in its final phase.
