A conference on the protection of property rights of Serbs in the BiH Federation was held in Trebinje

Commissioner for Refugees and Migration Vladimir Cucic participated in a two-day Conference on the Protection of Property Rights of Serbs in the Federation of BiH held in Trebinje on May 21 and 22, organized by the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs of Republika Srpska (BiH) - RUGIPP RS.

The participants were addressed by the Serbian member and chairman of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Serbia and the Republika Srpska, pointed out the readiness of the institutions of the Republika Srpska to provide professional legal assistance, and emphasized the importance of the Serbian Orthodox Church in this process.

At the opening ceremony of the Conference, the guests were greeted by Mirko Curic, Mayor of Trebinje, Bosko Tomic, Advisor in the Cabinet of the Serbian Member of the Presidency of BiH, Milimir Vujadinovic, Chair of the Committee for Diaspora and Serbs in the region of the National Assembly. Jasenko Nedinić, assistant director, spoke on behalf of the organizers.

The meeting was attended by representatives of legislative and executive bodies of the Republic of Serbia and the Republika Srpska (BiH), the Serbian Orthodox Church, representatives of municipalities from FBiH in which there are larger Serb communities, the town of Trebinje and municipalities of eastern Herzegovina, and representatives of NGOs, associations and organizations working on the protection of rights and the preservation of Serbian cultural and linguistic identity.
