A contract signed for the construction of 25 apartments in Zrenjanin

An agreement on the construction of 25 housing units in Zrenjanin, intended for refugee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, was signed in Belgrade today. The contract was signed by the Acting Director of the Public Sector Project Management Unit d.o.o. Belgrade Dušan Kovačević and Vukajlo Babić on behalf of the Group of Bidders Inobačka doo Novi Sad, Arhikom doo Novi Sad and BMC Connect doo Novi Sad.

The value of the contracted works is around 959,758 euros with VAT. Work on the construction of housing units is expected to begin in April this year. The deadline for completion of construction is 330 days.

The construction of apartments in Zrenjanin is part of the Subproject 9 of the Regional Housing Program. The goal of the Regional Housing Program is permanent housing for the most endangered refugee families from the former Yugoslavia.

The Program in the Republic of Serbia is managed by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration in cooperation with the Public Sector Project Management Unit as the implementation unit of the Program.

The Regional Housing Program is implemented with the support of the OSCE, UNHCR and the Council of Europe Development Bank, and is funded by the European Union, which is also the largest donor, the United States, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Luxembourg, Spain, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
