A Representative of the Commissariat participated in a Multidisciplinary Training on the Migrant Traffic Investigation and Prosecution

Republic of Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia held a joint multidisciplinary training, 24-26 January 2023 on the investigation and prosecution of migrant trafficking, organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor's Offices of those countries. Regional Coordinator Miloš Tintar attended the training on behalf of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration.

The aim was to go through all aspects of migrant trafficking at the Institutional level with a comparison and examples of good practice between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia.

On that occasion, the work of various Institutions and organizational units within the MoI and the Prosecutor's Office which deal with this issue was presented. The conclusion of the training is that with the joint work and synergy of all pertinent state institutions we can come up with the right answer in the fight against migrant trafficking and protection of potential traffic victims.
