Aid delivered to 76 repatriate families

09.12.2022.

On 9 December 2022, the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia delivered aid to returnees in Croatia.

In order to help the integration and improve the living conditions of the repatriate population of Serbs in the Republic of Croatia the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia grants aid to the returnee communities.

The donation was delivered to Krnjak which belongs to the Karlovac County and to Batinjani, which belongs to the Bjelovar-Bilogora County.

The value of the donation provided by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia is 2,187,210 RSD excluding Vat, assistance was provided to 76 families. From said funds 26 combined stoves, 37 washing machines and 13 combined refrigerators were supplied.

This is one of the types of assistance that the Commissariat provides throughout the year to our returnees to the Republic of Croatia, in terms of their economic empowerment and improvement of their socio-economic position.

The Commissariat sends four types of assistance over the period of a calendar year. During this year in addition to the above-mentioned aid in the form of appliances, 84 aid packages of sowing seeds (Pajdaž 300 maize) were presented to the returnees in Brod-Posavina, Požega-Slavonia and Šibenik-Knin Counties. At the beginning of the next year we will donate beehives for beekeepers as well as small agricultural machines. Assistance is provided in all returnees' regions and all counties where returnees live. These types of sustenance are very important because in this way we support families in economic empowerment which is the most important, besides solving matter of a roof over their heads.

The Commissariat plans to continue aiding the returnee communities in the Republic of Croatia in the coming years, our goal is to make it easier for the people who return to Croatia to stay and to enable their dignified life.
