Civilian Training Course for participation in peacekeeping operations commences for twenty-one field workers from the Commissariat

24.06.2019. At the Training Center for Multinational Operations of the Land Army at the “Jug” base near Bujanovac, today, at 9 am, an opening ceremony marking the commencement of the Civilian Training Course for participation in multinational operations took place.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia, Vladimir Cucic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Defense Aleksandar Zivkovic, Colonel Dr Katarina Strbac, Director of the Office for European Integration and Project Management of the Defense Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense and the Commander of the Training Center of the Multinational Units, Lieutenant Colonel Branislav Stevanovic.



Commissioner Cucic, State Secretary Zivkovic and representatives of the Serbian Army wished luck to all the participants of the Course and confirmed the importance of this type of cooperation between the Army and the Commissariat.

After completing the intensive two-week training, the 21 participants of the Course from the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration will be well-prepared to participate in peace missions of the United Nations, the European Union and the OSCE around the globe.

The Course is held within the framework of strengthening national capacities for the participation of civilian experts for the purpose of participating in peacekeeping missions and operations, in the function of preserving, maintaining and building peace beyond the borders of our country.
