FASHION SHOW AT THE ASYLUM CENTRE IN VRANJE

Asylum Centre in Vranje held a fashion show displaying the handmade works by women from Ukraine located in this Centre. This was an opportunity for the public familiarize themselves with creativity and acquired skills of the Centre's Beneficiaries and to increase their visibility in society, as well as to express their gratitude to the local community that received them.

Through volunteering and entertainment with the new hobbies, people cared for by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia in cooperation with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Serbia get the opportunity to make a key contribution to the host communities and to improve their skills.

With new knowledge and experiences, they create space for activities that have the potential to create income from which they can help their families.

Through creating photos, painting, music, sewing, knitting, cooking and writing the Beneficiaries of the Asylum Centre in Vranje made new friends and exchanged experiences, socialized and met new people.

With the help of our Partner Sigma Plus, handmade clothing items they made together at the workshops held throughout 2022 were showcased at the Asylum Centre in Vranje.

Centre Beneficiaries, as well as colleagues from the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration employed at the Asylum Centre in Vranje, participated in the fashion show.
