Final Refugees Apartments Allocation List in Belgrade has been published
01.06.2023.At the meeting held on 30 May 2023, Committee for selection of Beneficiaries eligible for Refugee Housing Subsidy in the City of Belgrade allocated 383 residential units for lease with the option to purchase - 133 in Dr. Ivan Ribar suburb and 250 in Ovča suburb. This was made possible based on the Donation Agreement concluded between the Development Bank of the Council of Europe and the Republic of Serbia within the Regional Housing Programme, Sub-Project 8 as well as the Memorandum on Cooperation for the Construction of 133 units on the territory of the City of Belgrade concluded between the Ministry of Public Investment of the Republic of Serbia, the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Belgrade, published Final Priority List, it was announced by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia.
“This is an important day for all families who have been waiting to finally get their home. The Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia has taken all the steps within its jurisdiction so that this long-term process could be successfully completed. Allocating housing solutions to refugee families and providing a new home to people who were forced to leave their homes due to conflict, persecution or other difficult circumstances is one of the most important goals of the Commissariat. The Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia will continue, with the support of its Partners, to continuously work on providing appropriate and permanent housing for all vulnerable families who had to leave their homes, in order to enable them safer and better life”, said Commissioner Nataša Stanisavljević.
