Forty contracts on the allocation of construction material packages (29 in Stara Pazova and 11 in Inđija) handed over to refugee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia

Today, on 23 July 2021, in Stara Pazova and Inđija, a total of 40 contracts on the allocation of construction material packages to refugee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia were ceremoniously handed over (29 in Stara Pazova and 11 in Inđija). This assistance has been provided through the Regional Housing Program (RSP), Subproject 9. The maximum value of one package of construction materials is 9,000 euros, and the minimum is 4,500 euros.

The events were attended by Svetlana Velimirović, Deputy Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia, Brigit Kuchar, Program Manager of the European Union Delegation to Serbia, Stefan Almehagen Sandstad, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Serbia, Ružica Banda, Representative of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Violeta Samardžić, UNHCR Representative, Dušan Kovačević, Director of the Public Sector Project Management Unit. In Stara Pazova, the event was attended by the President of the Municipality of Stara Pazova, Đorđe Radinović, while the host in Inđija was the President of the Municipality of Inđija, Vladimir Gak.

The Regional Housing Program is a joint multi-year program of the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia, which aims to provide permanent housing solutions for the most vulnerable refugee families in the region. It is implemented with the support of the OSCE and the UNHCR, and is funded by the European Union, which is also the largest donor, but also by the United States, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Luxembourg, Spain, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
