"Friendship Bazaar" in the reception center in Vranje

In cooperation with the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia, the Center for Social Integration from Vranje organized a "Friendship Bazaar" in the reception center in Vranje."We felt that it was necessary for the local population to bring closer the culture, customs and tradition of migrants and asylum seekers so that the local community accepts their presence easier and see the importance of cultivating diversity and breaking stereotypes and prejudice," said Anita Stojanovic, project coordinator.
In addition to the rich cultural program in which the children from Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan participated and the exhibition featuring paintings, jewelry, wooden handicrafts, pottery and handmade clothing, a brochure with life stories of migrants who were a part of this project, among them designers, painters, actors, musicians, professional photographers, programmers was published.
The "Friendship Bazaar" was organized with the donor funds of the project "Support to the Migration Management System in the Republic of Serbia", funded by the Government of Switzerland, and implemented by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration.
