Keys of 20 apartments built for refugees from B&H and Croatia within the RHP handed over in Kruševac

On June 16, 2021, in Kruševac, we solemnly handed over the keys to 20 apartments built for refugees from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia who have a residence on the territory of the Town of Kruševac. The apartments were built within Subproject 2 of the Regional Housing Program (RHP), which is in Serbia managed by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration as the leading institution.

The event was attended by Vladimir Cucić, Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia, Jasmina Palurović, Mayor of Kruševac, Marcelo Repici, Representative of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, Jovan Lazarov, Head of the Office of the Public Sector Project Management Unit d.o.o. Belgrade, as well as representatives of other international organizations and institutions. All healthy safety measures were applied during the modest ceremony.

The Regional Housing Program is a joint multi-year program of the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia, which aims to provide permanent housing solutions for the most vulnerable refugee families in the region. It is implemented with the support of the OSCE and the UNHCR, and is funded by the European Union, which is the largest donor, but also the United States, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Luxembourg, Spain, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
