Meeting with City of Belgrade and the Trustees of the City Municipalities

Assistant Commissioner for Refugees and Migration Dušica Popović held a meeting with City of Belgrade and the Trustees of the City Municipalities.

Commissioner for Refugees and Migration Nataša Stanisavljević addressed the present and indicated that the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration continues to support local self-government districts in resolving subjects within their jurisdiction, with special emphasis to solving the housing matter of refugees and internally displaced persons while they live in the city of Belgrade region without this being finished.

Needs which currently exist on the territory of the City of Belgrade were discussed in order to plan future activities.

Also, an appraisal was made of the projects whose implementation is underway as well as the hurdles in implementation and their possible solutions. The Trustees were given maximum support by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration in hope that the very successful cooperation will continue.
