Memorial room for Serbs killed in the 1991-1995 war in Croatia opened

Deputy Commissioner for Refugees and Migration Svetlana Velimirović attended the opening of the Memorial Room for Serbs killed in the war in Croatia from 1991 to 1995, which was opened by the Association of Families of Missing and Killed Persons "Suza" (“Tear”in Serbian) in its premises on May 12.

The opening was attended by family members, the Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs of Serbia, Prof. Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević, State Secretary for Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs of Serbia, Mr. Zoran Antić, President of the Commission for Missing Persons of the Government of Serbia Mr. Veljko Odalović, Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Ms. Jelena Stijačić, representative of the International Commission on Missing Persons, Mr. Ulbert Morina, representative of the Republic Organization of Families of Captured and Killed based in Banja Luka, Ms. Isidora Graorac Štrkić, representative of DIC "Veritas", Biljana Trkulja and media representatives.

The room is open to visitors every working day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The President of the Government Commission for Missing Persons, Veljko Odalović, said that the opening of the Memorial Room was another reminder of all the suffering and horrors that the Serbian people experienced in the period from 1991 to 1995, adding that the fate of a large number of missing persons was still unknown.
