Migrants from PC Adasevci exhibited works at the Fair of Handicrafts of Life
16.06.2018.German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) along with the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia, Novi Sad Humanitarian Center (NSHC) and the Association for Sexual and Reproductive Health of Serbia organized a Fair called “Handicrafts of Life”. This exhibition of creative works was held in the premises of the social enterprise Talk & Talk. Fifteen women who fled from Iran and Afghanistan, exhibited garments and ornaments created during sewing workshops at the Adasevci Reception Center.
Visitors had the opportunity to purchase jewelry, clothes and ornaments with a symbolic donation and all the money from sale will be invested in the further development of the workshop and occupational activities. The aim of the Fair and the sewing workshops is to provide women in Adasevci with the opportunity to nourish and develop their talents and skills, as well as to fulfil the everyday life in the center throughout the transit period which typically lasts for several months.
