Prevention Measures Against the Spread of the Coronavirus in Reception and Asylum Centres

08.12.2020. Prevention measures against the spread of COVID-19 are being implemented within all reception and asylum centres.  These imply the application of higher hygiene and disinfection standards within those spaces occupied and used by migrants and staff members working within the centres.  Personal protection measures are also in place and imply the wearing of masks, washing and disinfection of hands and reacting quickly in situations where the smallest of COVID-19 symptoms have been identified.

Migrant centres operating within the country are provided with information on a daily basis concerning the current status in regards to COVID-19 within the country, region and the world, as also on the topic of measures undertaken and implemented by our health system in order to curb the spread of the virus.
The migrants are aware of the danger; they act responsibly and are ready to offer their assistance within the centres not only where the maintenance of hygiene is concerned but have also expressed their willingness to put their individual skills and services at the disposal of local health authorities operating within the Republic of Serbia.  Many centres are involved in the production of masks, have organized regular shifts for the implementation of COVID prevention measures together with the staff members employed by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration.

The photographs show the measures being implemented in the Asylum Centre in Sjenica and the Reception Centre in Bosilegrad.
