Refugees from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia living in Svilajnac were presented with the keys to 15 new apartments

15.06.2020. On the 15th of June 2020, the keys to 15 apartments intended for refugees from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia were presented to refugee families living on the territory of the Municipality of Svilajnac.The apartments were constructed within the scope of ‘Sub-Project 5’ of the Regional Housing Program (RHP) being implemented within the Republic of Serbia.

Financial resources used in the construction of the building located in Vracarska Street No. 79 were provided in part through donor funds made available through the Regional Housing Program, while the land and associated infrastructure was provided by the Municipality of Svilajnac.  The total value of the construction works amounts to 344,461.00 EUR and the building in question has a total surface area of 901 meters squared.  

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Ivica Dacic, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the Coordination Commission for the Integration of Refugees, Mr. Vladimir Cucic, Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Predrag Milanovic, President of the Municipality of Svilajnac, Mr. Branko Ruzic, Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government, Mr. Dusan Kovacevic, the Director of Public Sector’s Project Implementation Unit (LLT Belgrade), Mr. Darko Petrovic, the Technical Director of the Development Bank of the Council of Europe, the representatives of other national and international institutions, organisations  as also by the beneficiaries themselves.
