SCRM Delegation in a Study Visit to Accommodation Centers in Greece

SCRM delegation conducted a study visit from 5-8 December 2017 to accommodation centers for migrants and refugees in Northern Greece, organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), under the project “Supporting management in migration and asylum in Serbia.”

They visited accommodation centers for migrants and refugees in Drama, Kavala, Serres, and Alexandria where they met with the IOM teams and received hands-on information on the conditions in those centers as well as about the organization and management of migration.

The Delegation held a meeting with a representative of the Ministry of Migration Policy of the Republic of Greece, from the Department for Trache and Macedonia, who presented the current state of the affairs of the migration crisis in Greece, illegal movement of migrants to Western Europe and the problems they encounter.

The Project is implemented by the International Organization for Migration, financed by the British Embassy in Serbia.

Commissar for Refugees and Migration, Mr. Vladimir Cucić and Deputy Commissar Mr. Ivan Gerginov were leading the delegation from Serbia.
