The first educational workshop for migrants on creating media content held in Vranje

14.09.2018. Educational workshops on creating media content as a part of MIC "Share Your Story" project have started for migrants accommodated in RC Vranje. The project is funded by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia and the Swiss State Migration Office within the framework of the Program Support to the Migration Management System in Serbia.

The goal of the project is that migrants, especially the young ones, acquire skills in the field of photography, video and digital literacy. About 20 interested migrants from the Vranje Reception Center joined the workshops with great enthusiasm.

"I was a graphic designer in my country and this workshop is another opportunity for me to forget the postulates in my work. Design and photography are complementary, and I realized that I just want to do more photography, "explains a young Iranian man.

This is just the first of a series of creative workshops "Share Your Story" as MIC journalists will visit all the remaining reception centers in Southern Serbia in the coming period.
