Thirty tree families in Bac receive RHP-financed village houses and packages of building material

23.04.2019. Twelve refugee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia received agreements for village houses while 21 beneficiaries received agreements for the packages of building material in the Municipality of Bac today.
 
Financial resources in the amount of EUR 143 thousand for the purchase of 12 village houses, as well as funds in the amount of EUR 171 thousand for the allocation of 21 packages of building material are provided from the Donor Fund of the Regional Housing Programme through the Council of Europe Development Bank.  


 
Beside the President of the Municipality of Bac, as the host of the event, the Assistant Commissioner for Refugees and Migration, as well as representatives of the UNHCR, the Project Implementation Unit in Public Sector, the Fund for Providing Support to Refugees, Expelled and Displaced Persons, and others, attended the ceremony.
 
The beneficiaries were addressed by the Mayor of Bac, Borislav Antonic, Assistant Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia, Ivan Gerginov, and the Director of the provinical Fund for Assistance to Refugees, Expelled and Displaced Persons, Dusko Cutilo.
 
The Regional Housing Programme (RHP) was set up to provide durable housing solutions to vulnerable refugees and displaced persons following the 1991-1995 conflicts on the territory of former Yugoslavia. The RHP is implemented by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia and mostly financed by the international donor community. The main donor is the European Union. The other donors are the United States of America, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Luxembourg, Spain, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and the Slovak Republic.
