Training on Migration Management and Protection

In cooperation with the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia (SCRM), the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) and the University of Maastricht, within the project Strengthening Capacities and Partnerships in Migration Management in Serbia, training was held on the topic "Introduction to Migration Management and Protection".

Second “Introduction to Migration Management and Protection” two-day training was held on 15 and 16 March 2023 at the Migration Training Centre in Plandište. Training was led by an expert on migration Talitha Dubow, Manja Vitasović and Andrej Naumović from the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).

The goal of the training is to improve long-term practical experience in working with migrants by deepening theoretical knowledge in the field of migration. The topics covered in the training were Global and Regional Trends, Introduction to Migration Data, Introduction to the Effects of Migration, Introduction to Forced Migration, Introduction to Irregular and Transit Migration and Introduction to Labour Migration.

This is one of a series of trainings for the purpose of strengthening the capacity of Migrants Reception Officers, to improve knowledge and acquire new skills in the field of migration.
