Village houses for 12 refugee families under the RHP

19.06.2018.
Under the Regional Housing Programme (RHP), 12 agreements have been awarded today for purchising of village houses for the refugees from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.

-In cooperation with the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration, we managed to permanently solve the housing problem for the 12 most vulnerable refugee families living in our city. They came to Kikinda from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this way, we are showing that we are solving the issues that have arisen during the unfortunate circumstances that affected these families. Numerous donors are helping and it is also up to us to provide these people with all the necessary support - said the Mayor of Kikinda, Pavle Markov.

Representative of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration, Dušica Berleković, county coordinator for Northern and Central Banat, pointed out that Kikinda embraced a large number of refugees at one time and that 105 families would receive housing solutions by the end of the year through the Regional Housing Programme.
