XIII Krajiski Assembly of Serbs “Krusedol Bells”

25.05.2019. On Saturday, May 25, representatives of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia attended the traditional XIII Krajiski Assembly of Serbs "Krusedol Bells".

In the church of the Krusedol monastery, a commemoration was held for all Serbs who perished and disappeared during the XX century, and then a joint meal was served in the monastery’s dining premises.

On stage in front of the monastery, in the presence of a large number of Serbs from the region, the clergy of the Sremska Eparchy, as well as representatives of local municipalities and the provincial government and numerous playful children, a cultural program with performances was organized, illustrating the creative, historical and spiritual tradition as well as the folklore of our people's homeland.

The Assembly was blessed by the Bishop of Srem Vasilije, while the famous Krusedol speech was told by historian and writer Dr Milan Micic.

In the year that marks eight centuries of the Autonomy of the Serbian Orthodox Church, this Assembly has a special significance in preserving tradition, the memory of the homeland of all Serbs in the region and the rich history of the Serbian people.
