Public Invitations for the Allocation of Fifteen Rural Households

The Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia published a Public Invitation to the local Self-Government Districts for the allocation of funds intended to improve the living conditions of returnees residing in Serbia, and based on the Agreement on Readmission through the allocation of aid for the purchase of a countryside house with a garden as the appropriate residential property.

 

The implementation of the Project "Reintegration of Returnees under the Readmission Agreement from Germany and other EU countries through the Provision of Permanent Housing Solutions" was made possible with the support of the Global Programme of German Development Cooperation "Migration for Development" implemented in Serbia by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

 

The maximum amount of funds intended to improve the housing conditions of returnees, based on the Agreement on Readmission through the allocation of assistance for the purchase of a country house with a garden as suitable real estate for housing per local Self-Government District, is 4,528,925.55 RSD while the maximum amount of funds that the local Self-Government District allocates per family household is 1,509,641.85 RSD.

 

The Public Invitation is open until 24 March when the local Self-Government District which meet the prescribed conditions will be selected. The global program "Migration for Development" (PME) is part of a wider initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) which promotes the sustainable reintegration of returnees and their stay in the home country by creating opportunities for dignified work and life in it.
